This deserves a thread

All of my life I have followed ACC basketball hoping one day to see the two teams I care about the most as #1 and #2. As of 12:00 a.m. on January 21st, 2010

#1 Virginia
#2 Maryland

If only the positions were switched. One can only this continues for two more months.

2 teams that absolutely nobody had any expectations for at all at the top. I don't know how long it will last,but as a long-suffering Wahoo basketball fan,I am thrilled with the job that Bennett is doing. Over the years the Cavs have been lazy,both on the glass with offensive rebounding,as well as getting back on transition defense. Bennet has them hustling and flying to the ball from tip to buzzer. It's good for the league to see someone other than UNC and Duke at the top. The future looks bright at UVA for the first time in a long time.

the way the ACC is this year, I might say 25%

UNC is garbage, Ill be surprised if they make it outta the first round of the tourney
Duke teh same way.

I remember yall laughing at Drew and I for saying GT could be the best team in the ACC, hmmm...

it's really hard to say who the best team is in the ACC this year...because a bunch of teams have laid claim to that at different points

UNC was the early favorite, I thought GT could certainly be up there and I picked them to win it, UVa has the best record currently, Clemson has some impressive wins, personally I think Wake Forest is playing the best basketball right now, and Duke is always in the discussion

the ACC has always been hard to win on the road...but this year might be the toughest, and I believe the team who holds court at home the best will win the regular season title

I highly doubt UNC misses the tourney, they only need to get to 7-9 in the conference to get in, IMO, and that would only mean they need to win 6 out of their last 12
